The North East of England is a fantastic place.
Castles, Coastline, Countryside and Cities - it has them all.
Some of our favourite places include:
- The City of Newcastle, with its shops, museums, galleries, quayside and of course Newcastle United FC.
- Durham which boast a beautiful castle and cathedral
- Whitley Bay - where we live - with its sandy beaches, Tynemouth Priory, Blue Reef Aquarium, St. Mary's Lighthouse and more.
- The Northumberland Coast - with miles of quiet sandy beaches, Castles at Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh and Alnwick - which was used in the Harry Potter films.
- Holy Island - Lindisfarne - which is cut off from the mainland by the tide twice a day.
- The Angel of the North - a huge statue that welcomes thousands of visitors to the area every day and recently celebrated its 10th birthday.
There are so many things to see and do in this area. That's why we love the North East.
