Romain Rolland School: Oiaiba's Class read Korky Paul

Oiaba, la maitresse raconte le Roi de la Peche.jpg

The teacher read us "Tom the Fisher King". It was great! We noticed that in fact, there were two stories. The story of Tom, who went fishing by himself because his father didn't want him. And the story of the father who leaves his side. Tom manages much better than his father and even catches a big fish. Whereas his father is always falling and comes back empty handed.

The story of Tom is told with words and big pictures. It's the main story.
The story of his father is told using small images only. The two stories are told in parallel.

From this we learned that stories can be told in different ways: using words, or by using only pictures or by using a combination of both words and pictures.

As the story of Tom's father is not written down, we have decided to write it using our own words. We'll show it to Korky on Thursday!
